About

the little blue penguin gained sentient existence one day in a big steel container classroom box at a certain singapore junior college on valentine's day. since then, it has travelled around the world with the certifiably insane and taciturn human known as 'miss chaobin'.

the little blue penguin currently enjoys the position of resident artsie muse for this human. when not dreaming about distant worlds and fish ice cream, it likes to find proofs for postmodernist literary theories. to date, the little blue penguin enjoys the friendship of various humans, and has even been kidnapped (and returned) by a certain admirer once.

the little blue penguin hearts salmon very much. it also believes with utter conviction in the ideals of truth, beauty, freedom, and love.

and one day. the little blue penguin will fly. one day.

'miss chaobin' - the aforementioned certifiably insane and taciturn human, currently being stuffed with canadian academic biscuits at the UBC. also happens to be the artist for this website.

she updates when she can. as much as she would like to keep drawing, she does have to graduate from university at some point.

she has been previously accused of literary blasphemy, of the breaking of invisible glass walls, and of eating half of the bengawan solo kueh lapis cake her mom bought last week. she has so far been found guilty for only one of the above.

Welcome to the little blue penguin, a
graphical depiction of the arbitrary
adventures of a melancholy, mad, but
secretly optimistic Singaporean penguin.

Featuring the mental detritus of an English
undergraduate and her sketchbook.

          Updates somewhat bi-weekly.

What does "ikan" mean?
FISH FISH FISH

What is "Singapore"?
Possibly this. But probably not.

Does this penguin really exist?
Of course.

Do the comics have any underlying
commentary on Singapore?
That's for me to know and you to imagine.
